MEC draws on a network of senior officials, with backgrounds in diplomacy, intelligence, policy making, business and finance to provide Middle East, African and Central Asian business intelligence and specialised knowledge of these complex markets and volatile situations, as well as action-orientated advice as to how to deal with them.
International Working Group Forums:
The Arab Financial Forum is chaired by His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Bishara, Vice-Chairman of KIPCO, and former Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
The Arab International Media group (AIM) is led by Caroline Thomson, chair of UK Digital and former Chief Operating Officer of the BBC. She succeeded her late father Lord Thomson, a former British foreign minister and European Commissioner.
The Global Nuclear Initiative (GNi) is chaired by Lady Judge, the Former Chair of the UK Atomic Energy Authority, who advises a number of governments on these issues. GNi secretariat is shared with the Windsor Energy Group, that has offered a global review for energy geopolitics.
The Network for Energy Technology (NET) is chaired by Lord Oxburgh, who sits on the UK House of Lords Science & Technology Committee and serves on the board of several green energy companies.
The Windsor Energy Group (WEG) is chaired by Lord Howell of Guildford and codirected by MEC Managing Director Ian Walker, and MEC Director Stephen Nash, together with Paul Tempest who has years of energy and finance experience in both the public and private sectors.

ACCESS for Women In Energy is chaired by Dr Carole Nakhle , an energy economist born in Lebanon and now based in London, specialising in international petroleum fiscal regimes, world oil and gas market developments.
